I have been directing bands for 23 years and have taken my high school bands on 6 major trips over that time span including trips to the Liberty Bowl, Cotton Bowl and Disney World. In late March of this year I will be taking my band to Disney World to perform once again. I've utilized several bus companies for trip transportation over the years including Arrow, Kincaid and for my last two trips - Disney World and the Cotton Bowl - I have contracted with Heartland Motor Coach. Of all the companies I have worked with I have been most satisfied with Heartland and have contracted them for our Disney trip this spring. I have done so for the following reasons:

1. Very reasonable prices.
2. Up to date, clean and safe buses.
3. Well-trained, courteous and professional drivers.

The above three items seem reasonable to expect, but up to the time of my trips with Heartland, a contracted bus company had not met all three expectations on one trip. Heartland was the first and I recommend them without reservation.

As a band director with ten years of experience I had heard horror stories from many of my colleagues about bus companies with ill maintained equipment or rude drivers. So when took the job at Maryville last year, which also happened to be the year of a major trip, I immediately started checking out the bus company that had been contracted to transport us to Florida. What I heard from everyone I talked to was that Heartland was an outstanding company with great drivers and that I should relax and enjoy the ride.

I am happy to say that The Maryville Marching Spoofhounds had the opportunity to enjoy Heartland's outstanding service last December on a trip to Orlando and Tampa Bay, Florida. During our journey with Heartland We had the opportunity to enjoy the following things about Heartland:

1. Their drivers were outstanding. They were very professional, but also got along very well with the students, parents and staff on the trip. They drove carefully with attention to where they were at all times, which resulted in a relaxing trip for me.

2. Their equipment was in excellent shape and they had a plan to deal with any problems that occurred. When one of our busses developed a problem it was deal with immediately and in a manner that allowed us to stay very close to the schedule that had been set.

3. Heartland's customer service before and after our trip was outstanding. Because our trip fell on my very first year in the district I inherited the trip, transportation and all. Heartland never failed to answer any questions I had and were very helpful in clarifying how we could work together as a team to make this trip go smoothly.

Traveling with three busses of students and parents can be very stressful. I am happy to say that Heartland did everything in their power to make sure that our trip went as smoothly as possible and I will not hesitate to call on their services when we travel again in two years. I wanted to take the time to tell you about the great people you having working for you.

I had the pleasure of recently working with Bob Ringle, Richard Klindt, Jim Martin, Doug Everett, Ken Hemdon, and Larry Chambers with the Truman High School Band on their Canada trip.

We did have some problems, but all in all we had a good trip. I think communication was the greatest problem. Evidently, Bob was not informed by Heartland, that Jana Waits was representing Four Seasons Travel, who had contracted with Heartland Coach Company. Had he known this from the onset, he would have handled some of the difficulties differently. Bob did an excellent job of leading and caring for his drivers and 300 people! He prepared the route ahead of time and informed his drivers of the route. He was in communication with them at all times. All of drivers were great! I really enjoyed working with them. They were courteous, drove carefully, and were on time.

I would like to suggest that when planning a trip in Canada, the dispatcher should take into consideration, traffic and speed. We had to travel through large metropolitan areas, which caused delays and then were impeded by the speed limit. A few extra hours would have helped at the beginning of the tour.

I hope that I have an opportunity to work with Heartland Coach Company again. I will keep you in my files for future reference.

I don't remember how many schedule changes we had nor how many last minute requests we threw at you. Your response was always positive and you came through for us. I know that a couple of times you simply did not have a bus available and I sensed a real disappointment on your staff's behalf that they could not provide service to us.

Even though this is a business transaction Park university has come to sense it as more of a partnership relationship. The fact that you already have the signed 2003-2004 transportation contract in your files speaks volumes regarding your service.

On behalf of the librarians who chartered a bus from you for a recent trip to Fargo ND, I would like to say "thank you" to all of your staff for making our trip an enjoyable one. The bus was clean and comfortable, John Nichols was responsive and helpful and your office staffs were prompt in answering any questions we had.

In particular, through, I'd like to commend Larry Chambers, our driver. Not only was he an excellent driver who made the ride smooth and worry-free, but he was also a lot of fun! His pleasant, helpful manner in working with everyone on the bus and with everyone at the conference we attended was appreciated by all. Even when we added an extra "mall run" and a trip to a casino to the itinerary, he was gracious and accommodating. His assistance and sense of humor were especially appreciated by conference planners and by me.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for your part in providing the most successful Junior High mission trip that I've ever been a part of. We were trying something new in taking a chartered bus, and there was some who were unsure they would like it. Everyone ended up loving it! Parents felt safer sending their kids off with a professional driver; kids got to visit and interact with the whole group; and we as leaders were impressed with every aspect of your company. But the best part was the driver!

Dave Woolery was a gift from God to our group. His attitude was always positive and patient. He shared in the work load of our mission and encouraged the kids to achieve their potential. He was professional yet personal, efficient yet people-oriented, quiet and reflective yet overflowing with genuine love.

I just wanted to drop you a quick "thank you" on our recent Boy Scout Summer Camp trip to Wisconsin. Everyone had a great time while we were there and Heartland Motor Coach provided an excellent traveling experience going there and coming back. We couldn't have been more pleased with the bus as well as our bus driver, Bob Svec. He was courteous and funny, while also being professional and very accommodating to our needs. And more importantly, he made us all feel safe. The bus was in excellent condition and everyone, especially the boys, loved it. I also might mention that when we made a switch of drivers in Iowa we were equally as pleased to have Kim as our driver.

Thanks for a great experience and a big difference from previous years when we used another bus company. We certainly plan on using Heartland next year when plan our next summer camp in 2003.

In the summer of 2000 we chartered 2 coaches from you for 3-week concert tours by a huge big band from Sweden and a youth choir from Sweden. Holy Week, 2001, we chartered another coach for yet another choir from Sweden. All three tours were fantastic. The coaches were excellent; the drivers were absolutely "the best".

Over the past 25 years I have chartered many coaches from many companies....never have we had the service that we have had from Heartland. Next year the groups that came in 2000 are coming back. Both of them are absolutely excited that Heartland coaches and drivers will take them from town to town and church to church!

Why in the world would anyone use any company other than yours?....that's the question!! The answer is simple: they just don't know any better!!
